WhatsApp is rolling out a brand-new feature that uses artificial intelligence to summarize unread personal messages—a game-changer for users who often fall behind on chats.With just one tap on the unread messages icon, users can now see a concise, bullet-point summary generated by Meta AI, helping them catch up without scrolling through entire conversations.
Currently available in the U.S., the feature is expected to expand to more countries and languages later in 2025.
How AI Message Summaries Work

Ads Are Coming to WhatsApp, Too
Alongside this AI rollout, WhatsApp is also starting to introduce ads inside the app, specifically in the Updates tab.
