Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc Hits U.S. and U.K. Theaters This Fall

The long-awaited trailer for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is finally here, and with it, confirmation that the explosive continuation of the cult-favorite anime will arrive in U.S. and U.K. theaters on October 29, 2025.

Premiering first in Japan on September 19, the film adapts the fan-favorite “Bomb Girl” arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by studio MAPPA, the movie picks up directly after the events of Season 1—ushering in a darker, more emotionally complex chapter in Denji’s journey.

A Dangerous Romance at the Heart of the Chaos

The trailer introduces Reze, a mysterious café worker whose gentle demeanor hides deadly secrets. As Denji’s connection with her deepens, so does the danger, with themes of betrayal and identity fueling the emotional tension behind the explosive action sequences.

Fans can also expect a powerful new musical theme, “IRIS OUT”, performed and produced by Kenshi Yonezu. Known for creating “KICK BACK,” the opening theme for the original TV series, Yonezu’s return sets the tone for a cinematic experience that promises intensity, heartbreak, and adrenaline-fueled spectacle.

Global Rollout Backed by Sony Pictures

Sony Pictures Entertainment has officially acquired worldwide theatrical rights, ensuring a broad international release beyond Japan. The film’s U.S. and U.K. debuts mark a major moment for anime fans who have eagerly awaited Chainsaw Man’s return to the big screen.

This marks the first feature-length installment in the Chainsaw Man franchise and a significant expansion of the anime’s universe. For both long-time manga readers and anime-only viewers, the Reze Arc promises a deeper dive into the emotional complexity and brutal world that have made the series a modern classic.

With stylish direction, MAPPA’s top-tier animation, and a charged story of love and destruction, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is poised to be one of the most talked-about anime films of 2025.
