Disney+ Unveils ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Disney+ has officially released the teaser trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, giving fans a thrilling first look at the demigod trio’s next quest through myth and mayhem. The new season is set to premiere on December 10, 2025, adapting The Sea of Monsters, the second book in Rick Riordan’s bestselling saga.

The trailer teases the return of Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), who heads back to Camp Half-Blood only to discover chaos brewing. With Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) by his side and Grover (Aryan Simhadri) missing, Percy learns that Camp is in danger—and so is the fragile peace in the demigod world.

A Faithful Dive Into “The Sea of Monsters”

Season 2 picks up one year after the events of Season 1, with Percy discovering he has a Cyclops half-brother named Tyson (played by Daniel Diemer). Meanwhile, the camp faces attacks from Kronos’s forces, and Percy must lead a quest to retrieve the legendary Golden Fleece, the only hope to protect Camp Half-Blood’s magical barrier.

As they sail through mythological dangers, Percy’s inner journey also deepens. His bond with Annabeth is shifting, he’s questioning his destiny as Poseidon’s son, and he must navigate personal doubts while facing monsters far beyond anything they’ve seen before.

Returning Cast and Mythic New Faces

The teaser confirms the return of the main trio—Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri—whose chemistry was praised in Season 1. Also back is Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus, who delivers a tongue-in-cheek line in the teaser: “We all know that last year you did something cool, but honestly, I don’t even remember what it was. We’re headed into the Sea of Monsters. You sure you’re okay to do this?”

Season 2 introduces several new characters: Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Percy’s gentle but powerful Cyclops brother Timothy Simons as Tantalus, the interim (and deeply disliked) camp director The Gray Sisters, played by Sandra Bernhard (Anger), Kristen Schaal (Tempest), and Margaret Cho (Wasp), appear as cryptic guides along the way

Epic Scale and Emotional Depth

The teaser showcases sweeping shots of demigods aboard a mystical ship navigating storm-ravaged seas and ominous monsters emerging from the deep—hinting at a larger-scale, higher-stakes adventure. The Sea of Monsters isn’t just dangerous—it’s symbolic of the growing pains Percy and his friends must face as heroes and as teens.

With Rick Riordan closely involved once again as executive producer, fans can expect a faithful adaptation that blends ancient mythology with modern emotion, humor, and high-fantasy action.
